What is about to go down on 5th of June?
For the last couple of months I have been dedicating most of my time to a very special new project. The idea has been growing in my head already for a couple of years now but thanks to being at home a lot and getting my new studio, I finally had the time, power and means to follow through! Big high 5 to myself!
This included writing and wrapping up an arrangement of a composition of mine Streets of Sarajevo and getting the orchestra together which is made up from a typical big band setting (4 horns, 4 trombones, 5 saxophones, rhythm section – guitar, drums, bass, piano) and some really cool extra guests like clarinet, bass clarinet, violin, tabla, world music percussions.
It is called The Ethna Project and you will soon get to know even more about it as the release date draws near! So stay tuned!
Big shoutout to @Popunie and @Rotterdam that are supporting this act! 🙂
Most of the tracks and videos are already in and from this point on I will be working on mixing and editing the sound as well as the video. All together 23 instruments!
For now I just give you a sneak peak to mine and Martins shot. Btw… A big shoutout to this amazing dude. He did it in the first take!! ( I was there… )
In the next post/s I will talk about how I came to this piece, why Streets of Sarajevo and why and how I got inspired to make this project and introduce the instrumentalists involved!
What is about to go down on 5th of June? -> Official online release of this arrangement for this project. 🙂
